PROGRAMS
Being a local television news director has always been a demanding, challenging, and time consuming job, but the additional demands of the internet and mobile, competing news content, and local news expansion have made the job even more demanding. The Kneeland Project is committed to improving journalism one news director at a time by meeting their training needs at every stage of their careers, and working with them to be outstanding journalists.
Spring 2015 Fellows
We are accepting applications for our Fall 2024 conference which will be held in Austin, Texas from September 18-21, 2024.
Thanks to our generous funders, this training will be free for selected news managers. Our participants will joined by some of the most influential experts in the country to help lead & facilitate the sessions. We will unite some of the industry’s most seasoned, veteran news directors to tackle formative, critical and timely issues.
